This module provides an essential presentation and understanding of the United Nations SDGs. The 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) define global sustainable development priorities and aspirations for 2030 and seek to mobilize global efforts around a common set of goals and targets. The SDGs call for worldwide action among governments, businesses, and civil society to end poverty and create a life of dignity and opportunity for all, within the boundaries of the planet.

Through Unit 1, learners will develop an understanding of the Goals and their contribution to making a better world until 2030. They will be able to see each of the 17 Goals and compare them, in order to see, individually, each of them the participants would be able to work on, learn more about, or create meaningful activities for supporting the achievement of the proposed Goal.
